Stephen Billington (PhD, QUB) is a Lecturer in Economics and Programme Director for BSc (Hons) Economics. His research is in economics and economic history, focusing on patents, innovation and firm financing, including the application of textual analysis to patent documents over the long run. He co-supervises the Centre’s patent-text doctoral scholarship.
